Your Opinion: What is the best SLR Nikon Camera?
I don’t know much about SLR cameras, but I’ve been researching the Nikon so far. Some people have told me Sony is the best or Canon but I haven’t seen any sample photos so I can really judge. I’m looking for an SLR Camera that can capture bright and vivid color really well. Also, does well in low lighting. If anyone could recommend a particular Nikon model or other brand SLR I’d greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

What's a cheap but good brand of 35mm SLR to pick up used?
I’d like to get into 35mm SLR photography again. It’s been a couple of decades. I do have an early Canon EOS camera, but the accessories are still expensive because they can be used on the new digital ones.
I was thinking maybe picking up an Minolta AF camera and lenses, but I don’t really know much about them.
What’s a good brand and model that doesn’t share components with a camera makers digital versions. I figure I can pick those up the cheapest.

why should I buy a Nikon camera with a USA warranty over a gray market version?
I am looking to but a D300 from an ebay seller. There are many "gray market" cameras with lens packages that are cheaper than the USA warrantied cameras. What is the main difference and what would be the best deal to go for. Is the USA version so much better? Is it the same camera? What is the difference in warranties, etc? Thanks in advance!

TTT#16: Review Canon HF100 Video camera outside in New Hamp
HiRes: www.techtrek.tv Conclusion It’s this video blogger’s dream. Easy to use, impressive controls and ports, nice interface, good price, useful OIS and assist light. The video looked amazing played directly to an HD TV off the camera using component wires. It edited smoothly on an Intel Mac laptop with Final Cut Express. Converting the AVCHD is short “log and capture” process, shorter then miniDV tape, but still not drag-n-drop off th card like AVI file. But there’s no importing time after the capture and conversion. It was a bear to digitize the huge files, but a smooth process. I’d shoot in 30p next time, and maybe not at 17mbs data rate to save the space and time. I didn’t try an external mic, but I have faith. I noticed some white balance “offness” inside, it seemed to love nature shots more than inside shots.
