Canon Digital Powershot Camera Review

I was planning to buy a DSLR for a along time and now I came across an offer. Now i am a little confused. which one to buy?

Canon EOS 1000D + 18-55mm + 75-300mm for 650 Euros and
Nikon D3000+ 18-55mm + 18-200mm+ 4GB SD card + Carry case for 600 Euros
both with usual accessories

I have a likeness towards Canon from the begining because I have experience with my friend’s Canon D450. I plan to shoot nature normal functions in my University.

So what is your opinion?

Will my old Minolta 35 mm lenses fit my new nikon d3000 camera. Can i buy an adapter to make them fit?

Sorry if it sounds stupid but as I posted before, I am a amateur photographer. I found a camera I’d like to buy, but it’s body only so I’m trying to find a 35mm lens. Should I look for a specific one or can I just buy any Nikon 35mm lens?

I am shooting at the highest resolution and the "fine" setting, so as far as I know, nothing else can be changed. When I open the pics on my computer they are not at clear as i would like them to be. Up to an 8×10 is pretty good but anything over that is not so hot. I used to have a cheapo digital camera that would give me great detail such as the pores on someones face even when zooming in 4-5 times on the computer. I know a lady that owns a Canon EOS 5d and her photos are AMAZING. She also shoots with 50mm lens. I am thinking of trading my Nikon for the Canon 5d but I am wondering if i am making a mistake? I realize that her camera and my camera are not the same in megapixels or price but is it really worth the money to upgrade? I also own a sb-600 flash and my lens is a NIkkor lens…. Does this mean that if i trade for a Canon that my accesories will not work or fit? I need help deciding… If my accessories will be useless on a canon camera, should i trade for a Nikon camera that is similar to the Canon 5d? What Nikon camera is the equivelent? I really love the clarity, brightness, no noise, and brilliance of the photos that my friend gets with her 5d. i have found a nikon coolpix 5700 for 65 dollars on craigslist. it comes with a battery charger, carrying case, adapter tool kit and 3 tinted lens. is this worth buying for 65? is the nikon coolpix 5700 a good camera?

I have a Canon Vixia HV40 and I got a B&N gift-card. I really don’t feel like buying any books, so I was wondering if B&N sold anything related to Cameras, particularly my HV40
